Daily Life Living in Japan | Celebrating Christmas Eve Alone| Grocery Shopping on Holiday
Time goes by so fast. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and in a few days the New Year will be welcomed. I have many things to be thankful for this year. One of them is that this channel is growing so well and I couldn't do it without everyone's support and love. When I started this channel, all I wanted to do was document my thyroid cancer journey on this site alone. I can't believe that this platform will give me an opportunity to touch other people's lives and meet kind hearted people.
At first I thought the internet had a lot of cruel and heartless people, but I was wrong. I can still conclude that our world has many generous, thoughtful and loving people. And I am thankful that God sent me all of you my loved ones😇. Thank you, my loved ones, for proving to me that this world is good and wherever we are on this planet, we can encourage and uplift each other's lives. I hope and pray for everyone's happiness, contentment and prosperity this coming New Year. May each of us experience abundant health and love from our loved ones every day of our lives. And let's achieve what our hearts desire in the coming year. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I will celebrate by cooking the food we usually cook at home. By the way, I also wanted to tell my loved ones that I am going home to my family to celebrate the New Year with them. Now I can finally spend New Year's Eve with them again, having missed this opportunity for the previous four years. I'm really looking forward to it. I will add the humidifier disinfectant liquid.
To disinfect my humidifier and prevent mold and bacteria from forming. I'm going to cook gratin for dinner. I use a ready-made gratin set with white sauce mix and macaroni pasta. I read in the comment someone who said why don't you wash the meat? Maybe because I believe that since I can't wash ground meat, it's just like any other meat. After all, my stomach doesn't feel bad, so I guess it's good. I will add a small amount of sprinkles just to give it color. It's delicious. Mixing cold and hot water. Yes ! It looks good. Sliced cream cheese. Going to the park for a walk. After taking a walk, I go to the nearby mall to have lunch, buy groceries, souvenirs and other items at a ¥100 shop. I ordered fried shrimp 🍤 and dandan soba. I also add the onsen egg. After dinner I will find some souvenirs for the children in my family and for my sister who celebrated her birthday last week. I am confused about what to buy because they are all cute 😭.
I will buy hand cream for my sister. I can't take it anymore so I'm going to put it in the bin😅. This is cute ☺️. This is also cute so I decided to buy this. I finished shopping for souvenirs. Now I'm here at the ¥100 shop. Wet tissue. I'm looking for a gift bag but most of the shelves are empty 😭. I will buy this. My mom told me she wants a new desk, but unfortunately not that many choices. I am also looking for gift envelopes with cash. In the Philippines, children are usually given cash gifts during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Whereas here in Japan, they only give cash gifts to children for New Years and call it "otoshidama". There are so many cute gift envelopes with money, I'm so confused 😭. I will take this. I finished shopping at the ¥100 store. Arrived at the supermarket. Milk ¥188 ($1.33). Spare ribs ¥418 ($2.96). Ginger Soda ¥88 ($0.62). Welch Grapes ¥318 ($2.25). Chocolate from Ghana ¥88 ($0.62). Crunkky Chocolate ¥88 ($0.62).
Haichuu Candy ¥108 ($0.77). I want to buy cake for Christmas, but this is too big for me. Shop done ✨. As expected, there is a long queue today. I'm going to marinate the spare ribs for Christmas dinner tonight. Garlic paste. Ginger Ale works well to tenderize the meat due to its carbonation. It also contains a small amount of ginger, so it is delicious and best used to marinate meat.
Black pepper. I am looking for what documents I need to bring home to the Philippines. I am very happy that everything is back to normal. I'm going to eat one of the chocolates I bought 😅. I'm always amazed at the food packaging here in Japan. Most food packages here have instructions on how to open them easily. Unfortunately, I'm not good at understanding instructions 😅.
I remember, the first time I bought onigiri 🍙 there is an instruction on how to open it but I don't understand so I messed it up 😅. I'm going to my favorite place in town to relax and think about my goals for the coming year. I ordered the Caramel Frappuccino. I'm going to cook the spare ribs that I marinated. I'll pat the spare ribs dry before frying so the oil doesn't splatter. Remove excess oil using a paper towel. Adding marinated sauce. Soy sauce. Pearl sauce. Bay leaf. Tomato ketchup. The smell reminds me of home during Christmas 😭. I love him so much 😭. On my way home, I went to Lawson to buy a small piece of cake. It's Christ's birthday so the cake must be present☺️. This cake is very delicious 😋. I will add one Philippine peso I have, inside the wallet I got for my sister.
I hope she likes my gift for her birthday ☺️. I will put some chocolates I bought in my luggage. I'm so excited to see my family again🥹. I will add my clothes the day before my flight😅. Thank you so much for watching 💕🤗. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Follow me on Instagram: lou_clife..
